RUWA Ministries Belief
Statement
Trinity:
We believe that the Holy
Spirit glorifies God through us and is our counselor and direct guidance
from God. When we allow the Holy Spirit to live unhindered in
us, He guides us in a life of righteousness by convicting us when we
are wrong according to scripture. He reveals God’s word to us.
He does supernatural works through our natural lives.
- Acts 2, John 14:
16, 17, 25, and 26, Romans 8: 9-11, Ephesians 4: 1-6, Zechariah
4: 6, John 16: 14
- Father: God is the
creator and sustainer of everything.
Savior- Jesus is our savior
and the only way out of sin. If it weren’t for Jesus, we would
be powerless against death. Through Jesus, we receive the gift
of eternal life/ salvation through his sacrifice and resurrection.
- John 3: 16,
17 and 14: 5-6, Romans 6: 23, Hebrews 10: 1-7
Lord- Lordship is just
as important as Him being our savior. Lordship implies that laws,
principles, and all aspects of Christianity are enforced by Jesus our
Lord and savior. This means that we as believers must be willing
to take up our cross and follow Him.
- John 15: 5,
Romans 10: 9-10 and 6: 22, Jeremiah 31: 33, Lev. 11:
45, Luke 9:23
Bible Beliefs:
- We know that the
word will last forever. Not only will it stand, but help us to
stand. It will never come back void and will always be fulfilled.
For this reason, we use it for teaching, guidance, etc… We are
a Bible believing church.
- Isaiah 40:
6-8, Matthew 5: 18, 1 Peter 1: 24-25, and 1: 13-16,
2 Timothy 3: 16-17
Sign Gifts:
- We believe that
the sign gifts (tongues, prophecy, healing) are still active in the
church today in accordance to scriptures
- 1 Corinthians 14:
1-33, 1 Corinthians 12: 7-11
Worship:
- We believe that
in worship, we should focus all of our energy toward glorifying and
praising God.
Love:
- We believe that
love is a requirement for Christians and that it is a lifestyle that
Christ laid out for the Church.
- 2 John 1:
5-6, John 13: 34
Tithe:
- Out of all that
God blesses us with, we are required to give ten percent.
Dedication:
- We believe that
dedication is done during infancy when the parents present their child
to the Lord.
- We believe in baptism
by immersion is done after one’s choice has been made to repent of
sins and accept Christ’s free gift of salvation.
- Act 16: 29-31 and
33, Matthew 3: 13-15
Communion:
- We believe that
the communion is partaking of the body and the blood in remembrance
of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe that prior to
taking communion, one should check their heart for impurities.
