RUWA Christian Church strives to be a church like no other, stretching the boundaries of contemporary church
thinking and being the radicals that God calls us to be. Here’s a little of what you can expect at RUWA!
Biblical Teaching – We at RUWA believe in the Bible. It is our most important and vital tool. The Bible calls
it our Spirit’s Sword. So we teach directly from it. There is not sugar coating and there is no fluff pieces. Every
message is given with the goal of helping you dive deeper into scripture and to give you applicable ways to help you
walk your Christian walk better every day of your life.
Unique Missionaries – Just because something has always been done a certain way doesn’t mean it’s the only way
to do it. At RUWA We believe in something we have called “Non-traditional” missionaries. In this program we take people
who wouldn’t usually be considered missionaries and support them because that is what they truly are. This has led us
to support music groups like Last Tuesday and the Switch Kids. Another group we support is Reach Records, home to great
artists such as Lecrae, Trip Lee, and Tedashii. As well they have made great products such as the 13 letters curriculum
for inner city ministry. Another great missionary that we take advantage of is Food for the Hungry where we get to directly
be involved in the lives of young people all across the world. At RUWA we also realize the importance of traditional
missionaries and to that effect we have sent money or people to 9 separate countries as well as continually support a
missionary in Haiti and taking 2 trips to Haiti to aid them in their missionary work.
Opportunity to Serve- At RUWA you can expect opportunities to act out your faith. James tells us that faith without
works is dead so we want to give you as many opportunities to serve as possible. Whether it be mission trips or working at
the homeless shelter we believe that we need to do more serving.
Church Family – If you are expecting to come to RUWA and not be noticed you are not going to be in the right place.
We at RUWA have a saying, “First time visitor, second time family”. We believe that the body of Christ needs to be a close
knit family. So expect smiles, hugs, and handshakes at RUWA, because we love you and can’t wait for you to be a part of our
family.
There’s so much more I could really share with you, but in the end words will never do it justice. To understand RUWA you
need to experience RUWA, so if you are looking for a place where you can come and be yourself, be challenge, be encouraged,
and be blessed then RUWA is the place for you.
Blessings,
Pastor Rick Milone
